Lifeguard staff is to provide a clean and safe beach front area for all campers. Job includes the following.

1. Guard for ALL water activities.
   
   
2. Decides suitability of lake for all programs. Cancel sessions if necessary. Reasons include weather and waves.
   
   
3. Teach water safety and procedures to all campers before they enter the water.
   
   
4. Communicate with each visiting camp director regarding times, conflicts and problems with sessions.
   
   
5. Be prepared for changes in schedule and possible additional swims.
   
   
6. Have equipment needed for sessions ready, prior to the beginning of each session.
   
   
7. Instruct and supervise swimming, snorkeling, canoeing, motor boating and sailing.
   
   
8. Keep beach and pump house clean and free from debris at all times.
   
   
9. Report maintenance problems with boats to the Executive Director and maintenance.
   
   
10. Check gas in motor boats daily.
    
    
11. Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude toward campers and staff at all times.
    
    
12. Staff rotation duties.
    
    
13. Assist in daily cleaning of staff house.
    
    
14. All other duties assigned by the Executive Director.
